Ocean Universal in Westcourt, Cairns has a proper spearfishing selection. Not surprising — the shop started as Spearfishing Superstore, so that side of things is in the DNA.
They've got rail spearguns, spearfishing wetsuits, long-blade fins, low-volume masks, weight belts, floats, dive knives, and general spearo accessories. It's all chosen check this out for tropical conditions — not temperate gear that doesn't suit FNQ.
They became Ocean Universal because they'd already added scuba and freediving equipment over the years. But spearfishing gear wasn't scaled down. Spearfishing is still central to what of the store.
The crew are FNQ spearfishers and advise on what works on Great Barrier Reef spots.
